We're Worried. We've Been Through A Lot.

The dogs were taken from the only home most had known. They went to the vet so they could get their vaccinations and any treatment they needed. They were cleaned up and fed. After that, some went to a boarding kennel that was helping house the dogs. A few lucky ones went to a temporary foster home to await transport out of state to their long term foster homes. And a few stayed locally to be fostered, especially the with severe medical issues.
This would be a lot for most dogs. When a dog is not socialized to the sights and sounds of the outside world, a transition like this is much harder after only knowing the tiny world they grew up in.
